Washington Had a Rainforest. We're Bringing It Back.

One forest at a time. One tree at a time. Forever.

THE VISION

Most people don't know that Washington was once blanketed by one of the most productive temperate rainforests on Earth. Ancient groves of bigleaf maple lined our rivers, built our soil, sheltered our wildlife, and regulated our climate for thousands of years.

Then we cleared them. Replaced them with rows of monoculture fir destined for the sawmill. A cycle of plant, clearcut, repeat—stripping the land of everything that made it resilient.

We're here to reverse that.

Bigleaf Maple Co. isn't just a syrup company. We're a forestry company with a different vision: permanent forests that produce, protect, and endure. Forests that will never see a clearcut. Forests that work for the land, not against it.

We call this the future of forestry. And we're building it now.

AAS™ -Advanced Agroforestry Systems

We've developed a new approach to forestry—one that rejects the extractive model entirely.

Advanced Agroforestry Systems is our framework for building forests that sustain themselves economically while restoring ecological function. No clearcutting. No stripping the land bare every few decades. No choosing between profit and preservation.

Instead: living forests that produce year after year, decade after decade, generation after generation. Forests that protect watersheds, build soil, sequester carbon, and support wildlife—while generating sustainable revenue that funds the next forest, and the next.

This is forestry evolved. The old model plants to destroy. We plant forever.

Forever Forests™

A Forever Forest is exactly what it sounds like: a forest designed to last.

We acquire land. We plant and restore native bigleaf maple stands. We lock the land into permanent trust—protected from development, from clearcutting, from the short-term thinking that's stripped our region of its original forests.

But these aren't museum pieces. Forever Forests are working forests. They produce. Bigleaf maple is one of nature's most remarkable trees—it coppices when cut, regenerating from the stump to produce again and again. A single stand can remain productive for centuries.

OUR FOREVER FORESTS DELIVER:

1. Ecological value — watershed protection, flood mitigation, carbon sequestration, wildlife habitat, soil regeneration

2. Economic value — sustainable annual harvests that fund continued restoration and expansion

3. Generational value — land preserved in perpetuity, beyond the reach of quarterly thinking

This is our model. Protect. Produce. Repeat. Forever.

FOREST TO TABLE

Every product we make begins in a Forever Forest.

Our bigleaf maples produce a sap unlike any other—rarer, more complex, drawn from wild trees in living ecosystems. We transform this into a collection of products that carry the forest's story to your table.

Pure Maple Syrup — The rarest maple syrup in the world, from the only commercial bigleaf maple operation on the West Coast.

Maple Beverages — Lightly sweetened, mineral-rich tree water and sparkling drinks straight from the source.

Craft Collaborations — Small-batch partnerships with local distillers, brewers, and roasters.

Carbon — Verified, permanent carbon sequestration from forests that will never be cut.

Every bottle, every can, every product is proof that forests can thrive and produce without being destroyed.

Certifiably Wild™

We don't do organic. Organic is a label for farms.

Our products come from wild forests—native trees growing in native soil, untouched by cultivation. No orchards. No plantations. No controlled environments. Just pure, wild-harvested goodness from trees that have been here longer than any of us.

Certifiably Wild™ is our standard. It means:

1. Wild-sourced — Harvested from natural bigleaf maple stands, not cultivated trees

2. Forest-grown — Products of functioning ecosystems, not agricultural operations

3. Pure — Nothing added, nothing artificial, nothing that doesn't belong

Think wild-caught Alaskan salmon. Fresh-picked huckleberries. Forest mushrooms after rain. That's the category we belong in—wild foods from wild places, with a quality that can't be manufactured.

This is what real tastes like.

AN INVITATION

What we're building is bigger than syrup. Bigger than any single product. We're pioneering a new model for what forestry can be—one that proves you don't have to destroy to prosper.

The rainforest is coming back. And it's sweeter than anyone imagined.
